Adecco is currently seeking a skilled Wastewater Operator to join our team in Sparwood, BC. This Long-term Contract role offers a competitive salary of $60-$70 per hour. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe and efficient operation of wastewater treatment systems, maintaining high safety and performance standards.

Responsibilities:
Operate, monitor, and inspect equipment such as pumps, motors, compressors, and chemical pumps.
Interpret SCADA and lab data; adjust equipment to optimize processing.
Record daily operational data and coordinate adjustments with shift operators.
Lay, connect, and test water and sewer lines; disinfect, flush, and repair water mains and sewer lines.
Operate and maintain wastewater lift stations, perform repairs on pumps, motors, chlorinators, and valves.
Safely handle, load, and unload chemicals.
Regulate system flows and pressures by starting or shutting down pumps.
Perform pump efficiency tests and collect water samples for analysis.
Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
Minimum five (5) years of experience in water treatment facility operations.
EOCP Program, Diploma in Sciences, Environmental Technology, or equivalent training.
Water Treatment Certification: WWT Level III or higher.
Experience with PLCs, HMI systems, and membrane filtration.
Strong mechanical understanding of process equipment.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
Valid Class 5 Driver’s License or equivalent.
