Responsibilities:
Develop and design high-level architecture solutions to meet business objectives, ensuring alignment with best practices, industry standards, and the latest technology.
Work closely with clients, business analysts, project managers, and developers to gather and clarify requirements, ensuring technical solutions align with organizational goals.
Provide guidance to development and IT teams, creating technical specifications, overseeing solution integration, and ensuring quality standards are maintained throughout implementation.
Design solutions that are scalable, secure, and optimized for performance, keeping future growth and technology trends in mind.
Create detailed architectural documentation, including system diagrams, process flows, and project timelines, to support implementation and future maintenance.
Assist in project planning, risk assessment, and troubleshooting as needed, working to ensure projects stay on schedule and within scope.
Research and evaluate emerging technologies to assess their potential benefits and impact, recommending upgrades and modifications as needed.
Qualifications:
Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Bachelor's degree in or related experience in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree is an asset
Minimum of 12 years with technologies skillset identified.
Oil & Gas experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of architecture design, development, deployment and testing principles
Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Qualifications as a senior DBX/Azure architect (CloudOps experience) who knows how to build, scale and optimize (cost/performance) an RBAC based, CICD (ADF & Databricks) deployable/scalable, Databricks environment in a hub/spoke model and that can also take advantage of the best-practice patterns in Azure and Databricks
Implementing sustainment processes including KPIs/metrics, data governance controls, and other auditable processes
