Responsibilities:  
  • Take charge of building and developing a high-performing operations team that aligns with our client’s cultural values, ensuring an environment where employees can thrive and learn.
  • Provide exceptional service to clients by delivering projects that meet their expectations, maintaining clear and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and implement project strategies that drive successful outcomes, focusing on meeting performance goals and ensuring satisfaction for all stakeholders.
  • Drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and lean practices. Encourage the team to adopt best practices, pursue professional development opportunities, and embrace a culture of change.
  • Manage the initial stages of the project by finalizing prime contracts, conducting project kick-off meetings, preparing comprehensive execution plans, and overseeing staffing and procurement processes.
  • Oversee day-to-day project activities, including managing RFIs, Site Instructions, Submittals, Change Orders, and other critical documentation to ensure smooth and efficient project flow.
  • Take responsibility for project financials, including budgeting, cost control, forecasting, and ensuring all financial objectives are met.
  • Create and maintain project schedules, ensuring timelines are adhered to, and managing resources effectively to meet project deadlines.
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, resolving any issues that may arise and ensuring project goals are met.
  • Develop and nurture strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Lead project close-out activities, including final inspections, training, turnover, and warranty processes. Ensure the successful transition of the project to the client.
  • Play an active role in mentoring and developing project team members, fostering their growth, and building a strong, collaborative team environment.
Requirements:  
  • Legal eligibility to work and reside in Canada.
  • A Bachelor's degree, diploma, or a 2-year certificate in a construction-related field.
  • 5-10 years of experience managing commercial, industrial, or institutional construction projects.
  • Strong expertise in handling various construction contract types and managing projects from start to finish.
  • A deep understanding of Lean principles, collaborative planning, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Familiarity with Procore® Construction Management Software and the Last Planner® System (preferred).
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong analytical abilities, with a proven track record of solving complex problems and making informed decisions in challenging situations.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and analyze technical drawings and specifications.
  • Proactive mindset for risk management, conflict resolution, and project optimization.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, including the ability to develop and mentor project teams.
