Adecco is currently seeking a dynamic Policy Analyst to join our client’s team in Ottawa, ON. The successful candidate will support public policy initiatives in Canada, working on a variety of critical issues related to content regulation, privacy, advertising, freedom of expression, and technology policy. This is a temporary to possibly permanent role offering competitive compensation and the opportunity to shape policy at a global tech company.
- Pay rate: $54.70/hour.
- Location: Ottawa, ON | Hybrid – 3 days in office per week
- Shifts: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
- Job type: Temporary to possibly permanent | Full-time

Responsibilities:
- Support initiatives of central importance to the company’s mission, working on global public policy issues and government affairs across Canada.
- Engage in policy areas such as content regulation, freedom of expression, advertising, privacy, and technology-related policies.
- Collaborate with the Canadian public policy team to advance positions and advocacy activities that reflect the company’s goals and values.
- Assist in the development of advocacy campaigns and work with industry and public interest partners to advance the company’s policy agenda.
- Analyze government policy positions and provide recommendations for review by internal teams.
- Drive the implementation of public policy initiatives by working with cross-functional teams.
- Act as a liaison to coordinate with teams on government-related initiatives.
- Participate in public events and engage with stakeholders to promote the company’s policy agenda.
Requirements:
- Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in public policy or related fields.
- Proven experience working with various branches, agencies, and institutions of government in Canada.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- A passion for technology, innovation, and public policy.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Exceptional analytical and political judgment.
- Ability to stay up to date on policy trends and issues.
- Strong collaboration skills and the ability to drive initiatives across teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to engage with government officials and external stakeholders.
