Paving Project Manager & Estimator

Our client is a leading asphalt and paving company in Ontario, committed to delivering high-quality paving solutions for both public and private road reconstruction projects.

This team, dedicated to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction, is seeking an experienced Paving Project Manager & Estimator to oversee and estimate paving projects throughout Ontario. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in asphalt and paving project management, strong analytical skills for accurate cost estimation, and exceptional leadership abilities to ensure project completion on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, manage, and oversee all phases of paving projects from initiation to completion.
  • Develop project schedules, allocate resources, and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor project progress and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for paving projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead costs.
  • Analyze project specifications, drawings, and requirements to develop accurate bids.
  • Conduct site visits to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
  • Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients, ensuring competitive and profitable pricing.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
  • Provide regular project updates and communicate any changes or issues effectively.
  • Negotiate contracts and change orders as necessary.
  • Track project budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial goals are met.
  • Approve invoices, purchase orders, and other financial documents.
  • Prepare regular financial reports for senior management.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in paving project management and estimating.
  • Proficient in project management software and estimation tools.
  • Strong knowledge of asphalt and paving industry standards and practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites within Ontario.
Compensation: Base Salary + Bonus + Benefits + Vacation + Vehicle Allowance + other perks.
