Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning and Leadership:
Advise on corporate computer systems and emerging Data & IT solutions, recommending technologies aligned with client goals.
Assess feasibility and impact on current systems; propose solutions and resource needs.
Participate in strategic planning, facilitating collaboration across departments and service delivery agencies.
Delivery and Governance:
Define and oversee enterprise Data & IT standards, guiding infrastructure and software integration.
Review project documentation for compliance with Data & IT principles, reporting to the Enterprise Architecture team.
Lead governance and provide interpretation of Data & IT policies, risk assessments, and cost considerations.
Data and Information Architecture:
Develop data management standards to ensure quality and integrity across the enterprise.
Support integration architectures, covering application, data, and event-based methods.
Align projects with corporate data architecture, supporting platforms like Data Warehouses and GIS.
Map business requirements to data models, ensuring compatibility with the corporate vision.
Deliverables:
Enterprise IT Roadmaps aligned with business outcomes, addressing technical debt, cost containment, and industry trends.
Decision records supporting architecture changes, technology selection, and new application requests.
Qualifications:
· Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
Bachelor’s degree in Applied Sciences or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, ITIL) are an asset.
5-10 years of experience in IT, with at least 2 years as an Enterprise Architect in a large organization.
Experience in oil and gas industry preferred, with exposure to infrastructure and shared services portfolios.
Proven technical expertise in architecture disciplines and experience with architecture modeling tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with effective communication across teams.
Ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
