Adecco is seeking an Complex Repair Operator for a globally-known company in Ottawa, ON.

As a Complex Repair Operator, you'll be responsible for replacing and hand-soldering intricate components on circuit boards, ensuring high-quality repairs for advanced electronic systems. Your role involves working with small, precise parts and maintaining the integrity of sophisticated technology.

To qualify for this role, candidates must have over 3 years of experience, including at least 1 year of BGA rework, and a strong understanding of IPC standards, particularly IPC-A-610G.

  • Salary: $35,000 to $45,000 depending on experience

  • Location: Ottawa, ON

  • Shifts: Monday – Friday | Days, Evenings, Midnights

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Replace complex components on Circuit Card Assemblies including BGA, LGA, fine pitch and small architecture (0201 & 01005)

  • Hand solder SMT and through-hole parts onto boards

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada.

  • 3+ years' experience (including at minimum 1 year of BGA rework)

  • Good verbal communication skills in English needed to report issues

  • Understanding of IPC standards (IPC-A-610G)

  • Ability to interpret BOMs, assembly diagrams and other build documentation

  • Ability to solder complex PCBs, use a microscope and soldering/de-soldering equipment
