Preparing and maintaining payroll and related government remittances/filings, confidential payroll files, recording of revenue, accounts receivable, expenses, accounts payable, and more. Preparing T4’s and Records of Employment (ROEs). Accurately inputting and tracking expenses in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and/or Sage. Maintaining, monitoring, and reconciling general ledger accounts including cash, bank, reconciliations, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and accrued liabilities in a timely manner. Identifying issues and discrepancies, investigating errors, and discussing resolutions with the manager. Monitoring work in progress and reviewing budget; identifying out-of-scope opportunities. Performing the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process. Liaising with clients on administrative matters and providing functional advice to other team members. Communicating with government agencies regarding information requests, assessments, and installments. Clearing credit card receipts from Dext into QBO and clearing direct withdrawals from the bank from Dext into QBO. Running AR aging and AP aging reports. Connecting bank and credit card feeds. Ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on time and knowing when to seek assistance. Requirements: Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada. Post-secondary diploma (Accounting/Finance is preferred). CPB or other relevant designation is an asset. 3-5 years of experience in a multiple-client environment. Computer literacy and familiarity with email, word processing software, and spreadsheet software. Proficiency in QBO, Sage, Dext, Wave, Plooto, and Xero. Strong organizational and communication skills. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Ability to work collaboratively and maintain client relationships.
