Adecco is hiring on behalf of our client for a dedicated Benefit Operations Assistant to join their Insurance Benefit Operations team. This position is essential in providing support services to ensure timely reimbursement to members and efficient handling of claims information. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Manager of Benefit Operations and will begin as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

  • Adjudication Support:

    • Assist the Adjudication Team in maintaining service timelines for member reimbursements and general claims inquiries.

    • Support claims sorting (digital and paper), claims pulling, and manage requests for additional information from members, dental offices, hospitals, and benefit practitioners.

    • Respond to inquiries from insured members and handle requests for medical referrals.

    • Manage periodic eligibility requirements, including OAD mailings, Form03 processing, and eligibility verification, especially during the open renewal period.

    • Log and track information in the system as necessary.

  • Renewal Team Support:

    • Assist with Form01 processing and verify completion of Form01/Form03.

    • Follow up with members regarding missing information and verify renewal and payment options.

    • Gather annual requests, such as opt-out requests, and verify eligibility changes in Cerberus, ensuring updates are communicated to ClaimSecure and Genelco.

    • Organize and file paperwork while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.

  • Administrative Support:

    • Provide regular and ad hoc administrative support, including maintenance of medical referrals, power of attorney documents, and letters of authorization.

    • Administer estate benefits and handle legal requests and documents (POAs, third-party demands, legal requests for information).

    • Manage appeals from insured members and assist with staff group plan administration.

Requirements:

  • Education: Ideally, candidates should have a legal education background (e.g., paralegal) or related experience.

  • Experience: 3-5+ years in a relevant field; HR experience is an asset.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
