Adecco is hiring an Associate/Intermediate Engineer – QA Operation Engineering for a 12 month contract for their client in Ottawa. This is an onsite position Friday-Monday.

As a member of the Quality Assurance Operations group, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring the design, development, maintenance of high quality, safe, effective products through implementation and maintenance of effective Quality systems and quality oversight of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement effective process control systems to support the development, qualification, and on-going manufacturing of products to meet or exceed internal and external requirements.

  • Identify manufacturing process defects (scrap, nonconforming material, customer complaints) by dispositioning non-conforming material, and assisting in identification of primary root causes.

  • Provide direction for in-process and final product investigations, CAPA activities, validations, verifications, and design development by ensuring that all regulatory and policy requirements are met.

  • Work with all manufacturing areas to ensure that non-conformances are identified and resolved thoroughly and in a timely manner to prevent recurrence.

  • Present and report metrics, identify trends of potential issues, and implement improvement initiatives.

  • Implements minor changes through change management system and may support major change implementation.

  • Ensure that we follow requirements for ISO 13485, 21CFR part 820 and 21CFR part 11.

  • Other miscellaneous tasks as may be required.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Must be eligible to work and reside within Canada.

  • Minimum 1 year in an engineering role

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Science, Engineering or related discipline)

  • Demonstrated initiative and problem-solving skills; critical thinking skills;

  • Ability to design experiments, analyze and interpret data, and document conclusions;

  • Analytical skills, creativity and innovative approach to problem solving;

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary team members and also to work independently;

  • Willingness to work in labs, manufacturing areas, and office environments;

  • Very strong investigational skills, drive to understand and solve problems;

  • Propensity for continuous learning and experimentation
